Unleashing Potential:
Why Drama and Public Speaking Matter for Every Student - and how to introduce LAMDA classes at your school today.
Our classes are designed to invest in the holistic development of our student body. These subjects are not just about acting or speaking; they are about creating empowered, thoughtful individuals who are prepared to make a positive impact on the world. Let’s give our students the tools they need to communicate, collaborate, and succeed

Why Drama and Public Speaking?
-
Confidence and Self-Esteem: Through drama and public speaking, students learn to communicate effectively, build self-assurance, and conquer the fear of public speaking. These skills boost self-esteem and empower students to take on leadership roles confidently.
-
Creativity and Problem-Solving: Drama ignites creativity, encouraging students to think on their feet, adapt to different scenarios, and work collaboratively. These skills are crucial for solving problems and thinking critically—abilities that benefit students across all subjects.
-
Empathy and Social Awareness: Drama teaches empathy as students step into different roles and perspectives. This helps build emotional intelligence, social awareness, and respect for others—qualities that are essential in today’s diverse, interconnected world.
-
Effective Communication: Public Speaking instills clarity in expressing ideas and enhances persuasive skills. Students learn to structure arguments, captivate audiences, and communicate with poise—whether in a classroom discussion, a job interview, or a future career.
-
Fun and Engagement: Drama and public speaking classes are dynamic, involving games, role-playing, and interactive storytelling that make learning enjoyable. Students engage deeply and develop a lifelong love for learning while having fun.
-
Preparation for Real-World Success: In today’s world, soft skills are as valuable as academic knowledge. Teaching students how to present themselves effectively gives them a competitive edge in college, job interviews, and in life. Drama and Public Speaking classes prepare students to shine wherever they go

Suited to you
We have a range of different options to best suit your school:
-
Peripatetic group lessons, booked in lunch times, break times and after school. Parents sign up directly to RM Drama and all admin is handled ourselves. Exams can be run in school or externally. Classes are small: maximum 5/class.
-
Peripatetic lessons across the school day. Here we run a carousel timetable so students miss 30 mins of any given lesson just once per term. We utilise break and lunch time to minimise time out of school lessons. Pupils can choose from 1:1 or 2:1 classes. All admin and timetabling handled directly by RM Drama.
-
Dedicated Speech and Drama lessons timetabled as part of your school curriculum, funded by the school. Here we can tailor the timetable and class numbers upon consultation with your school budget.

Workshops
We also run workshops specialising in poetry, public speaking and Shakespeare. As a school that specialises in confidence in communication skills we often run workshops on interview skills to help students boost confidence.
