Online: Code of Conduct

In order to run the classes smoothly and with appropriate care, we ask for parents and pupils to understand the following requirements:
Students need to have sufficient WIFI speeds for a clear connection. for a minimum of 10mb WIFI speed, and recommends that others in the house aren't using the internet for downloading/gaming etc when the exam is in progress. You can test your speed using ‘fast.com’. In the event of an internet connection problem on the teacher’s side, we will reschedule or catch up the time lost, but we are unable to do this in instances where the student has problems with connection.
If you are using a phone/tablet, we recommend setting it on a tripod so it is secure, steady and at eye level.
Please note, we need a secure environment for class where the children can focus properly on their lesson. Ideally they can connect from home, or somewhere with reasonable privacy. Please note we cannot conduct a class where students are joining in transit.
We ask for students to be appropriately dressed for class (no pj’s please!)
Finally, whilst we understand that space is sometimes limited and it’s not always possible to ensure complete privacy, we do ask that students are given the space for them to focus on their lesson without parents being overly ‘present’. It’s not a problem to pop in at the beginning/end of class to check on any homework with your teacher, and to help younger students to connect to the class, but we do ask that you don’t stay actively involved in the lesson - just as for in-person classes, you would drop and collect your child after the trial class. It is important for the connection between teacher and pupil and ensures a distinct learning environment for the students to develop securely under our tutelage.
Thank you for taking the time to read through our code of conduct and we look forward to working with your children!
