Bookings now live for the Winter Showcase and the Watford Festival of Speech and Drama

information on upcoming projects; namely the Winter Showcase and the Watford Festival. 

The Winter Showcase

• Pupils of all ages and levels can take part in the Winter Showcase. This is a non-competitive event, purely for confidence building and gaining public speaking experience. All participants collect a certificate at the end of the performance. We encourage everyone to sign up and build experience in performing in front of a larger audience! 

• It takes place on Sunday 1st February from 2-5pm, and your children will be grouped into an age-related 45 minute slot, nearer the time. 

• It will take place at St George's Hall, Orley Farm School, South Harrow. 

• It costs £15 to take part.

• Entry Deadline: 1st December

The Watford Festival

The Watford festival is a local Speech and Drama competition, where pupils can perform amongst their peers and receive feedback and certificates from the adjudicators, and some are awarded medals in each category. Children of all ages can take part, and it is another great chance to gain public speaking experience and receive useful feedback. 

• Reception -Year 2 pupils will be working on poems for the festival - which we will begin work on after the half term break. 

• Year 3+ pupils can perform an exam piece they've been preparing for the January LAMDA exams. 

Details for the Watford festival are as follows:

• Watford Festival: Sunday 1st March - Sunday 22nd March

• Location: The James Theatre, Watford Grammar School for Boys, Rickmansworth Road, WD18 7JF, N.B. PLEASE USE THE ENTRANCE ON SHEPHERDS ROAD

• Entry Fee: £18

• Entry Deadline: 1st December

*Please note, the Watford festival takes place across 2-3 weeks and we are not in charge of the timetable. Due to the logistical challenges of a large festival event with 100's of children taking part they cannot take individual diary requests. Performers are allocated a time slot within the festival period over the weekends/weeknight evenings and the booking is non-refundable.
